your mouse is probably dirty. is it one of those with the roller balls? they are pretty easy to clean -- just remember to disconnect it from the computer first (with the computer off first). remove the ball and clean all the dust and hairs out of there. here's a helpful link with pics to take u through it:

If you are using a wheel mouse,Clean the ball and wheels of the mouese.If it is an optical mouse it is better to repair it by a technecian or agent

If you are using a ball mouse, you can open it and clean the ball and the wheels. If it is a optical mouse , there would be software problem. So ask your hardware dealer to correct it!

pretty much trash it and get a new one...or if it is a regular ball mouse, pull the ball out and clean it with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

is it a ball mouse??? if so, take the ball out and clean it off with rubbing alcohol. if it's any other, it is probably broken. you will have to buy a new one
