I want to scan some of my documents and some technical data from books ,
so i want to make only one .pdf file containing different pages as per my requirement.And is this possible with trail or free versions of acrobat reader or suggest any good,compact and easily avaible software that i can use alternatively.

You can use PDF ReDirect Freeware to do it.

With PDF ReDirect, you can print any file and it will generate PDF from it. And you can also append/merge other PDFs when you try to generate new PDF. So all you need to print the PDF and sent it to PDF ReDirect. And at the PDF ReDirect screen, append/merge the other PDFs you want.

It is not doable with the free version. That is only a reader. I know, I use the Adobe Acrobat to combine documents. I have not heard of a free progam to do that.
