but ive exited and everything and deleted all shortcuts. i think its due to the virus thats infected my computer, how can i removie it?

Mcafee loves to do this, I think it is a self preservation thing. Control pannel, add or remove programs, remove mcaffee. Go to start, right click, search for mcaffee. Delete all mcaffee files that are listed. Restart. should help.

First delete the files from the mcafee folder.
Some files will show error msgs.
Leave them and delete the others.
Then, select the left files and then press F2 to rename them all.
Then type any name and press enter.
When they are renamed, just restart your computer.
Then select the renamed files and delete them.
Then open controll panel and remove it from the list.

go to Run (start > run) then put msconfig in the box n click RUN go start n turn off al mcafee fings at startup/setup then reset ur computer go to add n romove (start > contol panel > add n romove) n remove all mcafee stuff

You can try hitting control + Alt + del and see what programs are currently running. If McAffee is still runing - end task.

Go to control panel->adminstrative tools->services
stop all Macafee service.
Then try to uninstall
If it not successes
go to safe mode and try to uninstall

Are you sure that you ran uninstaller? If yes, there is only one way .Change registry.
