My wireless router seems to not be working, when I plug it in with the ehternet it says thats its transmiting the signal, but both of my computers will not connect. It just stays on "acquiring network adress" and then it goes to "limited or no connectivity". When I plug in the ethernet straight from the cable modem into my computer it works, but the wireless just doesnt seem to work. I've tried reseting the modem and router several times but nothing has worked. The router says that the modem is connected and it says its transmitting a wireless signal. Anyone have any deas on how to get this back up and running? Thanks!

Here is a link to the router:

Do you have security turned off? I have a Belkin wireless router and it worked right out of the box and ever since. What happens if you put the computer with the wireless modem right next to the wireless router? Does it even detect a signal on the channel you set up? Does it detect any neighbor's wireless networks? What about if you take that computer to someplace that has free wireless internet and try to connect?

Is it possible you turned on encryption but did not enter the password at the wireless computer? You can contact belkin for support and, if the router went bad within 6 months of purchase, they will replace it.

They should be a wireless key or a network key code on the bottom of the router click on the bit were it says acquiring network address and enter the code and that should work

What is the model of your modem?? if it has PPPoE on it, then you need to set it up to bridge mode. bridging the modem makes it a dumb modem and it removes the PPPoE on it. You need to bridge it because the computer will get confused where to get IP from. its like having a router behind a router if you dont bridge the modem (just in case it has PPPoE on it). If it is a 2wire modem, let me know, i have a 2wire and a linksys wireless router and i had the same problem, i ended up bridging the modem.. and guess what, its still working pretty darn fine!

I had the same issue 2 times when i bought Belkin wireless products. The only way to fix this issue is to bring that piece of cra*P back to the store and buy another brand that will actually work.

may well be countless themes: while you're on cable and did not extremely could configure the on the spot router, i might reset your router (could be a small pin hollow someplace on back or backside, in many situations held approximately 10 seconds) and notice in case you will come back on line. while you're on dsl that demands a username and password for pppoe authentication, you may locate out in the experience that your dsl modem or now your router make that login. in case you dsl modem does, reset your router (like above). otherwise, there is something occurring with the computing gadget on the spot drivers, make particular the drivers are put in for it. you are able to attempt going into your community Connections and good click the on the spot adapter and disable and then re-enable it (XP) or good click and run a Diagnostic on it (Vista).
