i was running firefox, checking my yahoo! mail, and then the screen froze, with the pointer frozen and all. about two minutes later, all the programs and mouse pointer disappears and only the desktop wallpaper can be seen. control-alt-delete twice does not restart the computer. i had to push and hold the power button to turn off and on the computer. happened every single time i turned it on today. what the heck is going on, and how can I fix it?

I was playing around while waiting for a buddy to get online and in IM i was messing with sending a text to a cell phone from my messenger IM and put in my cell phone number for testing..it works but now I cant change that number..I want to put in their cell number so I can actually text them..how do I delete a number and put in another?

Im planning on buying a macbook but is 200 dollars worth the .17GHZ. Whats the deal with the super drive. Does the 1100 dollar model not come with a dvd burner. I find it hard to beleive a laptop not coming with a dvd burner.

The last two nights I have had problems getting into some sites and loading pages- I use Mozilla on my laptop with a wireless connection. I could not load the MLB baseball game tonight through Mozilla, the page said done- nothing there. I had to go into compuserve and then I could get it. Help

Im currently using cable internet. My cable modem directly connects to router. That connection is splitted to another router (so there are two routers).

Right now, the second router cannot connect to the internet. I disabled the 2nd router to disable DHCP (because the first router has DHCP enabled). What else do i need to do to get the 2nd router to get internet access?

Have got norton internet security 2006 but viruses still gettin in. rang them up and they said that i have to pay them 100 bucks and they would send me an email tellin me how to get rid of them. what a heap of **** they are. the things that have gotten in the computer are dialer.trojan, heaps of adware stuff and about 4 or 5 other trojan things. tried heaps of removers but can't get none that fix it. all our downloads are going heaps slow, movies that would normally take 3-4 hours are now taking 12-20. need help fast before it wrecks the computer
