Im planning on buying a macbook but is 200 dollars worth the .17GHZ. Whats the deal with the super drive. Does the 1100 dollar model not come with a dvd burner. I find it hard to beleive a laptop not coming with a dvd burner.

This is the more powerful one: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/6674001/wo/5I6ap84efiFg3RtKKzEUIEbBoAy/3.?p=0

I personally went for the 2.0GHz White MacBook, I just got mine a couple months ago. I absolutely love it, and believe me I understand the frustrations with Windows. My HP laptop quit on me for the last time, and I went to Mac and I will never go back. I did choose to upgrade mine to the 2GB of RAM and an 80GB hard drive, because I tend to run quite a few programs at the same time, and I have had no problems at all with my Mac.

I can't say what is best for you, just go with what you need. There will be newer and better things in another few months, as there always are. I always try to get just what I need, especially if there is a significant price difference, this way, you haven't wasted the money on something you don't use.

No! this isn't a sturdy deal! you should purchase a refurbished Macbook with 2.a million Ghz and one hundred twenty HD at the moment from the Apple shop, and it comes with an finished assure (from Apple!), the newest OS (Leopard) no longer Tiger. Ive offered various refurbs from Apple and by no skill had an issue! BTW, Apple's value? $899.00

def. go for the 2.0ghz white macbook, you won't be disapointed. you'll get a lot of grief from all the pc users out there, but you will definately have the last laugh. i just bought one myself and this was after having my ibook for 6 years with no problems, other than the ones i did myself (i.e. dropped it) which i sold to my bf and its still working great. when i say no problems this includes absolutely no viruses. i have always owned macs and will never own anything but.
