I cannot delete it. there are several of them that appears i keep x ing time and time again before i can get on the internet. It is called sonic activation module .Please help i know there is a puter expert on yahoo that can help.

Hey guys, Ok i re formatted my computer its a dell demension 3000 and when i try to re install windows ( i press F12 to get into system options then i press cd rom then it searches for everything etc my keyboard is working intill it says press eneter to install windows. Please help me i really need help.

I'm considering downloading the Release Candidate 1 beta version of IE7. My home page is a customized version of Google with dates , calendar & sports news widgets. If i change from IE6 will my homepage be affected by the new beta version? Also will my favourites & bookmarks which i have on the latest version of Google toolbar be automatically transferred over as well? Last, but not least, how reliable is this RC1 beta version?

how come my dvd writer shows that a blank cd or dvd has no space left on it? i buy brand new blanks...and my writer will not let me burn anything because it reads the blanks as if has files on it..any computer guys got any ideas?..oh and by the way ..my dvd burner is also new..only 3 months old..

My friend has his own laptop and he uses it everyday. He got grounded because his father found out about some messages he sent on MySpace and just information that he wasn't telling his dad. I guess his father installed a trojan or some other kind of program on his computer that allows him to see everything he does, as his friend I'm trying to find out what you can do... is there a certain way you can find it... a program or something you can do without harming the computer, he could care less about having his father find out... any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated!

During a free trial of a spyware/adware detection and removal program, I came across a small number of spyware/adware programs that had been installed by different parties on the computer I was using. I successfully removed all of them but one. The one one which I did not remove, came with an advisory not to remove it because it had been placed by a company connected with the Nielsen ratings company and therefore collected valuable information.

I am not all that impressed with the Nielsen ratings company. I furthermore resent claims that it should have exclusive rights to intrusion on the privacy of others.

A local branch of a Nielsen-connected company once placed a bogus phone survey to my home one evening. I traced the call back to their office. The information I inadvertently had given them, I believe, put some people in danger.

Why is this company so special? Much spyware and adware on computers is unwanted and regarded with disdain. I do not like focus groups.

My system started shutting down randomly and Asus Probe indicated the processor was overheating. I bought a new fan and heatsink and installed both fine. Same problem. Any suggestions where I should look next? Also, is there a free program out there that would be better at helping me diagnose this problem? Thanks in advance! =)

Okay I have used limewire to download music for over a year now. Suddenly I am no longer able to connect with limewire. So I tried using morpheus. It will not connect either. I was told to look for a firewall. I looked on the net seaching for a way to find a firewall on my pc. I have only found ways to find it using windows XP. I use windows 2000 on this pc. I have windows XP on my other pc. But when I tried to use limewire with that pc I can not connect either. I have not tried morpheus on there yet. Can someone tell me if something could be wrong with limewire or my pc's or even how to check for a firewall on windows 2000? I am not to good on these things so make it detailed please.

I received an e-mail(bulletin)from someone. They want me to add my name and address. It says after I do that to highlight the text, right click, copy & paste, then into a new e-mail. How do you highlight a text? I know how to right click and to copy & paste, but then how do I make into a new e-mail? They said no forwarding.

Ok I have a Compaq Persario desktop PC and it runs windows xp. I have the factory restore disks. The problem is a friend of mine had her computer to mess up so I loaned her my disks and it wouldn't read them. It says "Please contact Compaq technical support" and now it doesn't work on mine either. Are these disks locked or something? Is there anyway of making them useful again? I know it was a stupid move on my part but at the time I had no idea how important these disks are. Any advice is appreciated. Oh and I did call Compaq since my computer is not still under warranty they want help unless I pay them like $100 per year for the support. Thanks
