A Blog is basically a journal or a diary of your own thoughts, musings, daily activities, or discoveries...much like what you would write in a physical journal or diary. The difference is that you are doing it on your computer, online, for the rest of the world to see. (you do get to choose who sees your blog, for the most part, but the truth is that once it is out in cyberspace it becomes public domain). The nice thing about a blog, I have found, is that it gives your friends and family a place to go online to check out what you have been up to and what your latest news is. In this way, it saves having to write lengthy letters or have long drawn out phone conversations if you just are more of a writer instead of a talker. This way, everyone gets to view your blog, and respond to it however they would like, and you can answer with whatever is relevant at the time. The downside, of course is that you would not want to slam your Mother-in-Law on your blog, lest she come across it one day and discover that you have plastered her faults all over the WWW. This is what makes a BLOG different than a LOG: Your blog is essentially not truly private, while a log can be pretty much private forever. (until you are dead of course, but then...who cares. Your dead, right?)
Hope this helps.

A blog is an online diary where people share their thoughts and daily activities.
Basically u write about what u feel like! About ur family, ur hobbies, ur school, studies, ur job, ur children, ur spouse, ur political views, or celebrities or maybe promote ur business-anything u want!
Due to the easy availability of online publishing tools, even an average internet user can start a blog.

You can write anything at all on a blog and depending on what site you have it posted on, people can read it, and or comment on it. Just becarefull about blogging. You don't want to put peoples names on it, your job, anything really personal that can come back to haunt you.
