Hello, I have one Gmail account. I would like to make an additional one with a different name. I searched Google but have not been able to find the answer. Can you help?

Yes still Gmail is not allowing their users to create their own email address without an invitation. So what you have to do now is : you have to send an invitation to your own email address and then click the link they have provided to open another account and follow the procedures.....
Or else if you have any other email address in yahoo or rediff or aol something like that then you can send your invitation to that email address and then open the link again....

send yourself an invite for another one. In the lower right hand corner of your gmail. I have two gmail accounts.

send an invite to yourself from your first gmail account to another email address.

If you have another non-gmail email address, invite your other email address to gmail.
