when you scan some pictures how do it make the pictures bigger??

You can adjust the pixels when you scan it with the software of the scanner. It's better to adjust the pixels, than actually adjust the percentage. But you will loose quality... the bigger you want it, the worser the quality will get... That's how it is.

It all depends for what you need the endresult: is it to print, or just to use online/or in programs like word or powerpoint? Then the resolution can be much lower...

I'd suggest you to scan it with 450dpi, 150% or something like that, you can try different values and see what is big enough, without loosing too much quality...

If you can choose a Gamma value, choose 1.8.
If the picture is from a magazine, you also need to choose for descreening or later adjust this in photoshop because you will see the pixels...

select higher resolution on the scanner. like 100 dpi is about same size. 800 dpi would be 8 times bigger. experiment

adjust the pixels. bigger pixels means bigger file size.

just copy the picture in microsoft word and u can zoom it

use the software that came with the scanner........like Ulead or something.
