I am coonected to broad band and have a wireless router for the house. How do I make it private to other computers

Use 128 bit encryption. If you are really insecure you can set the router to only accept the mac address of your wireless card.

Follow the instructions that came with your router to go to the isp address to make sure others can not view it. Also, Just a helpful hint either have your self connect via your laptop or someone else you trust with a laptop to make sure your connection is not viewable.

hi, perhaps you can try a more secure browser.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

you have to password or WEP key incrypt it by going into settings for the router and adding the WEP key feature

you need to setup encryption key(password), login to your router 192.168.0.1 default user name is admin, no password. then find it under some menu, and you'll have to setup that key on computers that you connect to that router, that's all, very simple
