1. Go toyour internet browser (ie, just open a new internet page if you don't already have one open):
2. Go to "Tools"
3. Go to "Internet Options"
The first page of Internet Options should read : "General"
4. Go down to "Browsing History"
5. There will be a paragraph reading: "Delete Temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords, and web information"
If you really want to delete all this stuff, select "Delete" otherwise, take some time, write down all your current passwords and bookmark important websites (bookmarks don't get deleted) and then hit delete.

Otherwise, if you want to only stop them from accessing this info till you give them the present, just put a different password on your laptop so they can't access your browser's history.
I hope this helps.

Go to tools at the top of your screen. Left click. Then where it says, internet options, click on that. Click on clear history. Make your'e history days to keep things at zero. Then click on delete cookies, then delete files. That should do it. Do this all the time, it will clear what you look up, what sites you look up.

Firefix : Tools> Options > General > clear (beside history)
Explorer: Tools> Internet Options> clear history

ATF cleaner is good, but I don't think you need that.

If you go to http://www.wikihow.com/Delete-your-Usage-History-Tracks-in-Windows it will tell you how to erase your computer's history. It gives the instructions for both Firefox and Internet Explorer users. There are even screen bshots and everything.

Here's the link to my search results for 'erasing a computer's history' http://search.yahoo.com/search?search=erasing+a+computer%27s+history&ei=UTF-8&fr=ks-ques&ico-yahoo-search-value=http%3A%2F%2Frds.yahoo.com%2F_ylt%3DAsd7TOIdVrp40qaj8n8LzXUezKIX%2FSIG%3D111gjvvgj%2F*-http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fsearch&ico-wikipedia-search-value=http%3A%2F%2Frds.yahoo.com%2F_ylt%3DArNVxEdbg1KAX7CQRlPGFXQezKIX%2FSIG%3D11ia1qo58%2F**http%253a%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FSpecial%253aSearch&p=erasing+a+computer%27s+history
