I have set up my network in my house i would like to share the files on my pc with my laptop. I done put the folder i want in my shared folder. made the folder available to share,everything and i can't see the folder on my laptop. Do i need to go to a special place on my laptop. please help.

when you share a folder...by default it is not shared as public. You need to explicitly share for everyone. Assuming you have windows right click on the folder -> Properties -> Sharing -> Permissions (Button) -> Choose Group Everyone or add and give permissions.

create a shared folder on you deskop and give permission to the folder so that you can access the same folder from you laptop.
