I downloaded a number of anti spy, anti virus and things like that. But my computer is still the same. Very slow. I deleted all the vuruses and whatnot so shouldnt it be fixed?

It looks really cool to use and setup, but i just want to know if it's safe. I got something else like that and when i opened the setup a window popped up and said that installing this may ruin your system. we are not responsible for any damage done to your system or something like that, so of course i didnt install it. windows blinds doesnt say that, but i want to know from others if it is safe to use.

Everytime i try to use my CD burner and i put a CD in it, the light on the front of the drive goes on and stays on and it wont let me access the drive or CD at all.

I've been saving for a laptop for about 3 years, and I finally have about $1,300 to spend. I would like to get a really good laptop and hopefully a printer, too. If anyone has any advice on which brand or specific laptop to get, I would really appreciate it. I've been looking into Dell Laptops the most, but I really don't know whats the best.
