Sony Drive Wont Burn!?

I need help i bought a Sony Drive DRU-800A About 7 Month Ago And It Was Burning Fine All Suddenly It Stop Burning. I Use Maxell Blank CDs. All Im Guessing My Sony Drive Only Work On Nero. Because My Sony Only Can Burn DVD-RW

Right click on the DVD -RW > properties > Recording (tab) > check mark on the " enable recording on this drive ". If its already checked then try reinstalling nero or using some other form of burning like wndows can burn DVDs or CDs without any third party software like nero. Or you can also try ROXIO which is also good.

Actually, there isn't a driver for DVD-Rom or DVD-RW's. What you need to do is go to My Computer, then open Control Panel, then open Add or Remove Programs, and uninstall Nero. After you've uninstalled it, then go to C:\Program Files\Nero, and delete the entire Nero folder.

Once that's done, just reinstall Nero. There's about an 80-90% chance that there is nothing wrong with your DVD burner, there's only a problem with Nero.

You can try this first....go to your Hardware Device Manager and choose the uninstall option. Then reboot, and Windows will find the drive and reload the drivers for it, which will hopefully get it back in working condition. But, if that doesn't work, you probably will need to purchase a new drive. They're not all that expensive nowadays, through sources like Newegg.com. Check the web for instructions on how to install a replacement first, though, before you do the job. Good luck.
