Yeah, a lot of morons hang out on it, but why does the website take so much heat? I don't think it's the website, it's the people.

Anyone can get into trouble on any website.

I think all the negative talk about MySpace is ridiculous. It's very large, but it's not all that different from other communities, save for the combination of features brought into one place. People (read >> PARENTS) just like to assign blame for their own failure to watch out for their kids, and politicians jump all over the fear, as they always do.

MySpace has had a lot of members commit suicide, one very notable member being Josh Ballard, who posted his suicide note on MySpace.

It is also a site that has cost people their jobs because of their posting controversial information.
