The bank account I gave him has no money in it at all. Anyway I'll be informing the bank.

I got the address where he wanted the notebook to be posted.
So can I give this address and the name of this person to a police?
Has he already done any crime to inform this???

This is a scam for sure and needs to be reported to eBay asap. Cut and past this entirely to them and see what happens

I posted 1 Notebook computer on Australian ebay
and was sold on the crazy "Buy It Now" price I put.

The bidder who won this was from USA(US Registered for ebay).
But I am registered in Australian ebay and I clearly mentioned "Local pick up Only" from Sydney.

This buyer has 0 Feedback and he's new to ebay. So it's quite possible due to less knowledge.
So when I was about to relist the item this guy sent me an email saying he's from US and currently
on a business trip to Nigeria.
He wants to give this notebook as a gift to someone in Nigeria. Asked me to post it there at ANY COST!!!
Then he asked me for the bank details and I sent it.
Then I thought it's my lucky day, But I never get excited over money.

Now he's telling me that he sent me the money through a Company called nochex for more safety.
This company sent me an email saying that the money is being received by them and won't be transfered to my account
unless the shipping tracking number is given to them. Basically they are asking me to post the item.
This is the 1st time I heard this company name in Australia. So I checked on the internet and found out that there's a
Company called nochex made for the same purpose of safe money sending.
But then realized the logo's, Trade mark seem like bull Sh**T on the email.

So do you think I'll be sending the notebook to an unknown person in Nigeria over a
transaction with another person who has 0 feedback from US ebay.
At least the shipping fee hasn't being cleared.
I just realied that this compnay(Nochex) is mentioning a completely different name
as the depositer!

So what do you think about this situation?
There could be a lot of people out there who get excited about money.

This is a VERY COMMON SCAM in UK.

DON'T GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO TO THE SCAMMER .
As others have said already, report the scammer to ebay.

If you feel adventurous, tell your "buyer" that you have no money, need $200 to ship the merchandize and enjoy the scammer's reaction (again, don't give away any details).

Yup.. FeeBay lets scammers like this over run their site.. but when someone puts a listing up to protest the new fee increases it gets yanked quickly... go figure

Thanks for the warning.....looks like a new scam. If they have your banking details you better keep a close eye on your account.
