the command that we can type in the run command box..

Under the Start menu choose Run. Then type in msconfig. Then click on the Startup tab. That's where you can choose what program starts upon startup.

Im not sure,but look in the control panel. Im used to linux, I have'nt used windblows in a while. Or I think if your rightclick on the start button that might bring up something. Can't remember need more coffee.

msconfig.sys will take care of SOME of the programs.

Before doing that, open up START - All Programs, and go to Startup. See if the offending program is in there. If it is, delete it, and it won't start up from THAT menu.

then u go to start up
