When drving my car around the rural roads where I live, I frequently see a motorcycle coming towards me with a blinking headlamp. I've even seen a motorcycle with 3 separate headlamps and the central lamp is flickering away while the others are on steady. Is this a result of too little amperage in the electrical system? improper grounding?.

i wouldnt mind this as a transportation, but apparently there are alot of accidents and deaths associated with a bike.. any stats or what not? I debate learning it. it seems cool but i donno whether i should considering it might be very dangerous.

I have a 1984 VT-1100-C, 13k miles. The brake light doesn't work, and the brake warning light stays on, however when I lock the steering, the brake light stays on even with key out. Any one ran into this before? Any ideas, test procedures, etc. would be helpful!

I was always under the impression that for a motorcycle to be road legal it had to have lights, as would any other road vehicle. I saw one in Barrow this week with no lights whatsoever, on the main road into town, and it had a number plate, so I assume it had been registered at some point. What is the situation?

It severed his left arm, although after 6 surgeries, was reattached. Due to the vibration & limited mobility, he no longer rides, not to mention his son forbids him since he nearly died. Do I give up my passion for him or get my own & ride without him, only on occasion? Anyone in a similar situation??

i put a new front tire on my dirt bike 90/90-21, it is all set except for a little bit of the bead. it is sealed and doesnt leak air but it has a bit of a bounce when i ride now. looking into it about a 5 inch section of the bead is not set. my friend told me to put like 60 psi in it until it pops into place, even tried dawn dish soap and wd-40 still no luck. anything i am missing?

I have a 2000 model 325 Polaris Magnum fourstroke. I took it to the shop to see what was wrong with it and they said I needed a new crankshaft. They said it would cost $1100. Another guy told me it wasn't but $250. Does anyone know how much it would really cost just for the part.

I turn 16 soon and my parents are happy to buy me a motorcycle (nothing too expensive though!) I've been doing some research and I know that I want a sport bike and something with some power but nothing that would be over-powering. I want something that looks good but I want something safe too. Any suggestions?

I just bought my first bike (1990 VFR 750), I do all my own work and obviously my auto parts store won't sell any motorcycle parts. Does anyone know a good website/store to order parts from (I've found Bike Bandit to be too expensive and haven't found anything else that would work).
Thanks for the help!

Im between 6'3" - 6'4" and I weigh around 330lbs. Ive been wanting to get a motorcycle for some time now, but all the ones ive tried have been small. A '04 Buell Xb9r, '07 Kawi Zx6r, '06 Cbr600r, '07 Harley (wasnt a sportster or vrod, i dont know the exact model), and a few others that I cannot recall. On the Buell, I felt too top heavy and it hurt my nads to sit on it. On the Zx6r my knees touched my elbows, but it was quite comfortable. The Cbr hurts my balls. The Harley was the most comfortable, but I disliked how low the bars were and to be honest, they're way out of my price range. Cruiser or streetbike, doesnt matter. The larger the bike is physically, the more comfortable it seemed for me. Any bikes I should look out for? I really like the looks of late-90's sportbikes and post 1990 cruisers.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Is it possible to switch or change the position of the throttle on a motorcycle?
Example: Could the throttle and brake controls be placed on the left side of the handle bars and the clutch be moved over to the right? Also, is there another way to adapt or change up the throttle for persons with limited hand mobility or other disabilities?

Don't laugh at this question, but on my 1990 VFR750 there are two silver boxes mounted on the top of the handlebars down the shafts from the grips. They both have circular windows in them, and fluid fills the windows. I'm guessing that the fluid is brake fluid, and the windows are there to tell you when you need to refill your master cylinders?

I read the manual and it says nothing about where they are, just that you should inspect them.

I just got my first bike (Honda VFR750), it's been very well maintained, but some oxidation on the chain is causing it to tick every time it goes by the sprocket. I'm very handy and do all my own work on my cars and I'm going to replace the chain next weekend, but I haven't ever done anything on a bike. Based on the repair manual it doesn't look too hard to do, how hard will it be? Where should I order the chain from (Website or store) and how much should I expect to pay? Do I need anything other than the cutter, chain, lube, and tools?
Thanks a lot guys!!
