It would start after alot of kicks and ran strong and has alot of power and torque but would not hold an idle. I pulled the plug and checked for spark(none) bought a new plug kicked it over a thousand times and it never starts. Pulled the new plug and still no spark. I pulled off the stator cover and there was gas inside the casing. I took electrical cleaner spray and cleaned it and still nothing. Should I change the stator?

The tyre was 1 and half months old... it is for a Honda VTR 1000 and I do 60 miles a day with a little (15 miles) motorway. I had the tyre repaired with a plug which cost me £50, but I am wondering if I should replace the tyre completely (another £120) or whether this repair will be okay for a while?... this has the potential of costing me a lot of money......

Does anyone have any opinions?

I have a 4stoke Bajaj Pulsar (Indian Bike)..the problem im facing is it sputters and stops for around 2-5 mins after I run it for couple of mins....This problem usually surfaces after I have given the bike for servicing. To get the bike started again, I usually have to wait..and then when It starts I have no problem again.

I have a '05 Ducati SS800 and I am having a hard time keeping it running right now. I was riding and all of a sudden it started surging and misfiring, I couldn't get it up over 30 mph! I made it home and now it starts for a few minutes then dies. It sputters and sounds like crap then cuts off. what could this be? I checked the spark plugs and they look good, fuel is good, any guesses??

I know that I have to pull the motor, but I was told it was tricky. I guess that the over head cam on the single bore causes problems.

The guy that I sold a Scooter to actually rode the bike off. Then said that after he went to get something to eat, the bike would not start. Now this is part two to the "I have just sold a Scooter and I need an Opinion" Question. He called me today and said that I should look at the LEMON Law. I told him to shove the Lemon Law because there was nothing wrong with the Scooter. He said that he spoke with his Lawyer, and I told him to place the Paper in my Hands and Take me to Court. What is your take on this?

I recently bought a 1992 Suzuki GSX600F Katana, and after learning to ride at low speeds, naturally I started to go faster. It pulls fine at low RPM, but once I hit about 7000-7500 RPM, the power starts to cut out sporadically. It just doesn't seem to have any energy above 7500 RPM. Also, if I'm cruising on the highway and give it partial throttle, it accelerates smoothly, but if I give it full throttle, it does the same "sputtering" routine. I replaced the spark plugs and noted that the ones on there showed signs of a too-rich fuel mixture. So I pulled the new plugs out after a week to check them, and they're showing the same signs (really black, lots of buildup). Could this "sputtering" at high RPM be related to the improper fuel/air mixture, or does it seem like ignition problems could be to blame? In my previous experience with race cars, high-rpm "sputtering" like that was almost always ignition-related, but I'm not sure about with motorcycles.

I'm not sure what it is? It gets progressively louder with rpm and it can be felt on the right rear side of the valve covers. Other than tapping engine runs beautifully. No sputters or spits. Idel is perfect. No smoke from exaust or oil leaks. Just need someone with some experience to tell me if its common and or fixable thanx guys.
