I can't believe he even got video of it. Check out the video and tell me if you know him. Its blatantly clear from this video that he totally cut me off. I did everything in my power to avoid crashing, but as you can see in the video there was no possible way I could have recovered from it. I leaned into the corner with everything I had, but at the high rate of speed I was at I couldn't pull it back together. The damage to the bike is estimated at $6,000 and the guy took off! Fortunately all my friends were there to help me out of the jam, but nobody got his license. I consider myself an expert rider and after putting $35k into my bike, I'd really like to find this guy so I can use the tape as evidence that he made this accident happen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJLhSWUBnwE

my top answers...if you don't know that you can get seriously injured or killed then don't bother..if seeing a motorcycle accident scares the crap out of you then don't ride....

I have a '95 Yamaha Virago that has been in the shop for a new starter since May 1. It took a couple days before the diagnosis, then 7 days to get the wrong part, etc etc etc. Had they received the right part, it would be a two-week repair for the most common problem with this year of my bike.

Is this sort of repair time excessive? Typical?

The Virago is my first bike, and this is my first time to deal with repairs. My experience with cars is that nearly any repair can be done the same day. I know that an older bike may require a special part order, so I am struggling with what a reasonable expectation for repair times should be. For all I know, three weeks+ is great service.

In other words, should I look for a different shop the next time I need repairs?

I need to register my out of state motorcycle in California before the end of this month (current out of state registration expires this month). My battery is dead and the dealership says its going to take more than a week to get a new battery in (the battery wont hold a charge).

Do i need to bring down the bike for inspection, or can I just register it without inspection at the DMV?

i am soon (3 months) buying myself a 250 cc bike (because of australian state restrictions for the first year) and i like the honda cbr 250 and the kawasaki ninjas (250 again). Are the 250 cc bikes of these companies still in production? i can not find any link that shows me the latest models. Does any1 know how much it would cost in Australian dollars for used bikes that are fairly new (2003 and above)? Which one of the 2 bikles should i be going for? or are there any other 250's i should look out for that are better?

Sorry for so many questions, just doing my research:)

Don't know about you but i'm tired of reading the same question over and over...figure if you want a motorcycle, for yourself, you'd take the time to go sit on a motorcycle or do your own research..

any opinions?

maybe i should be more considerate
