How old do you have to be in the state of NY to get a licence for a bike?

You can get your learners permit at 16 years of age.
The same as a regular car license.
Take the road test, then get a Junior license.
There are restrictions - can't drive after dusk, can't leave the county you live in, must have someone over 21 with a motorcycles license with you (on another bike or following in a car)..
You can then get your full license at 18.
