pretty much what the question asked, can you have cruise control on, say, a 2006 suzuki katana 750, if so, how and where? thanks in advance...

Contrary to some of the other answers you received here, they do make cruise controls for motorcycles ...and I'm not talking about throttle locks either. They are rather expensive and installation can be complicated but they work just like the cruise control on your automobile ...tap the brakes and they shut off, accel/decel buttons, etc.
You'll have to do some shopping around to find one made for your make and model of bike.

Do to safety reasons nobody makes a cruise control kit. It is possible to rip the cruise control out of another sunfire but that would be too costly and impractical.

My Harley has a way of applying friction to the throttle which acts as a cruise control.

If you are asking because your hand or wrist hurt from holding the throttle on a long ride, get a throttle rocker, it is easy to install and the heal of your hand rests on it to easy hand fatigue. A throttle lock is dangerous.

Throttle lock all the way. I tried the paddle and gave my right hand the creepy-crawlies in about 5 minutes.

not that i know of and why would you want to? if you want cruise control when you drive get a ford tauris, white.
