For some.
There are a lot of accidents associated with cars and trucks.
Bathtubs too.
When you know, you know.
Statistics? Numbers added up by others, usually leaving something out.

It is not stupid. If you go into it knowing that it is more dangerous then say, sitting on your couch at home, or even driving a car. Life is about choices, riding is a choice. It is more dangerous than some but, by being educated about it and using the proper gear and preforming regular maintenance on your ride you can reduce the risk.

I'm going to answer this question.. ( even though there's no info on the profile & they dont allow email)
Life is terminal. you can not escape death...
having made that statement .. I have been riding for 35 years. I have had a few accidents.. ( some even my fault).
& last time I checked Im still living..
If you go through life not smoking, drinking, & chasing women you will not live longer.. but it will seem like it...
Everyone has to die of something ( hopfully old age) but you cant go through life worrying about what might happen..
these are just a few of my thoughts.. NOW to your question..
there is no chance at all, of a car hitting you. this is because you live in ANTARTICA.. ( Im psychic so I know where you live)

I've had a lot of close calls on the road. The rule is if a car can do something stupid it probably will so always give yourself extra room and be prepared for maneuvers. I always rode an enduro bike and I don't know how the dudes and dudettes handle those big heavy cruisers. I would have plowed into many cars if I had been on one of them I think. Not sure.

Los Angeles Times reports that there are 40 deaths per million miles. That works out to one death per 25,000 miles.
Since I've gone about 125,000 miles and I'm not dead, that means five other guys are dead.
Take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, then decide what you want to do.

you will get a motorbike with an computerized transmission. inspite of the shown fact that, once you end, you want the two legs to hold the motorcycle upright. you are able to assume the tip via leaning the motorcycle in direction of the section with the leg, yet that may not continuously a possibility. in step with probability a tree wheeler or training wheels?

If you are that worried you should not ride - a scared driver is dangerous to themselves and others. You either want to ride or you don't. Plain and simple. Stats don't help you decide on this situation.

If you're wanting to ride to be cool, then it is not a good idea, especially if you are scared of it. Stick with four wheels.
