1998 BMW R1100RT
With a full tank, sometimes the gauge shows full, sometimes it doesn't. Somewhere around 3/4 of a tank it drops to a zero reading.
The low fuel warning light dutifully comes on right around the last gallon of fuel... in other words I'm being a big baby about it but it would be nice if all the bells and whistles actually worked, ya know?
Anyway I put in some "fuel system cleaner" that was supposed to remove "sulphur compounds" that are known to cause this kind of problem - didn't help.
Ideas anyone?

Or I will consider their predessors which are almost the same except for name changes. The Suzuki is a 650cc single cylinder air cooled engine. The Kawasaki is a 500cc twin water cooled. Will the method of cooling have an affect on the maintenance or length of life of the engines?

Has to be as light as possible and easily mountable without too many fixings. Going on a CBR 1000F, so quite a bit of room under front fairing.

I ride a cruiser and I've been looking to purchase a small helmet know as "lids" that is DOT approved. Most of the small helmets that I've tried are still too bulky. I bought one thru internet "Skid helmet", but it is still too thick. I want a small slimmer helmet that is DOT approved. Where can I get/buy it?

Why do some riders put Hondas or other makes down? I am buying a Honda 1982 CB450T Hawk soon. I love everything about it! Why would someone want to bash the bike that I love??? Low on power? I can see that. But the look and feel of this bike fit my preconceptions of what a motorcycle should be to a T (hehe there's a pun for ya). I don't want to be ridiculed for my choice of bike. It's my love!!! No other design, make, or model has, as of yet to make something better for me!!!

After more than 2 decades, why did they discontinue this bike?? It was perfect.... It's been removed from the 2007 lineup, but I haven't heard an official reason why.

Please suggest solution only as the Carbon Particles cannot be removed with hand .i.e., hand cannot reach inside of the cylinder.

Also REMEMBER that while cleaning that cylinder the CYLINDER itself should NOT get damaged.

The Cylinder I am referring is none other than Silencer of Scooty Pep.

I have an 1987 Kawasaki 305ltd , it's in mint condition. when it was warm out, it started beautifully, now that it is colder nights, it will not start. the other day we sprayed it with eather several times in the carb, it finally started but I had to hold it wide open for quite awhile before it held on and idled by itself, what's with this bike, please answer only if you know, thanks.

I'm thinking of getting into motorcycles, and I want to know what it is that draws bikers to their bikes, with full knowledge of the risks and dangers involved. How do you guys keep yourselves safe on the road?

the bike runs fine in neutral but when I put it in first and let the clutch out it stalls. Anyone have any suggestions? I changed the plugs and I am thinking it could be the coils? Or the switch for the kickstand? Let me know if you have any knowledge about this. This is a kawasaki ZX11-1991
