Motorcycles - October 2006

i need to know if anyone know where i can find motorcycle parts(2002 suzuki sv650), it ws invovle in a accident and so like the brake pedal needs to be replaced and a few other things, but the pedals is something hard to find and at a reasonable price also even if its to pick it off a broke down motorcycle same brand of course.

I just bought a bike. All i know is i have to change oil, oil filter and "drive-shaft" oil. What else is necessary/good ?

I know you're supposed to lean into the curve, but I can't get over the fear of just tipping on over...It scares me to the point that I feel sick. Otherwise, I LOVE riding...as long as we don't have to make any turns or go around any curves...I can't wait to ride to the mountians, but EEEKKK!

I've been reading some reviews and have concerns about comments. How important is the issue of adjusting valves? Someone mentioned they had to do it every 2 oil changes. Does the dealer have to do this? I also read some negative comments about chain drive vs shaft. Any advice?

i accidently shorted my battery by switching the + and - wires and connected them to the battery. In result there was a tiny spark and the battery died. I charged the battery at a shop. Now when i turn the key to on. nothing happens. so i jump started my bike by rollnig it down a hill. but even then the lights are very dim and my speedomeer keeps going crazy... am i screwed?!!!
