I rode a 450r last week that had a 14.5 to 1 high compression piston, brodix cyl. head, and a hot cam, yosh full exhaust, centerforce clutch, lots of other stuff. too fast for me! rode it around the block and brought it back right away. Your best bet is to get a dennis kirk atv catalog and check it out, there's always new performance parts coming out for the 450r.

Totally depends on what type of riding you're doing, and how often you want to rebuild the engine.

The bolt-ons you've done so far are a good starting point - and about all you can do if you want to keep stock reliability.

If you don't mind getting into the engine more frequently - look at one of the aftermarket big bore cylinders. Northwest Sleeve and a few other companies offer them.

I don't recommend sleeving the stock cylinder - a sleeved cylinder doesn't usually dissipate heat as well, and can cause reliability issues.

Once you go big bore, then look into some head work - porting and matching cam grind, along with the stainless steel valves and springs from Kibblewhite will take some of the power from the bore kit and move it more to the midrange and top end.

After this, spend money on suspension and handling.

Since you didn't mention what type of riding you're doing - it's impossible to be specific here.

After poeple modify their quads to the max, they realise their tires can't hande the additional power. They spin and won't hook up in all riding conditions. The tires racers use most are "Holeshot MX/MXR4" tires. Take a look at them and surf the web to read about them.

there isnt really anything else to make it faster unless you just get a bike with a bigger engine.
