These bikes were ridden up to a few years ago in the motorcycle GP's, and I was wondering if they are available to collectors?

Yes these units can be purchased by private collectors. However only after the factorys have produced new technology to replace these prototype race bikes. You also shoould not expect to pick up any four strokes or Honda as they will never be released. if you do find a real GP and not an exstreet-leagal knock off expect to pay between 400,000-1,200,000 US dollars.
