Ford Escort 1991 1.9L. 124K miles. Engine oil has been above full (1-2cm above F on dipstick) for the last 2000 miles. (Is that too full?)

Now it's lower, but still above Full. The oil leak has become worse, dripping about 10-20 drips within an hour after parking the car. It appears to be leaking from the engine block.

Today a light clicking sound started under the hood. The clicking speed increases with increasing RPM. Any ideas?

The shop touched up my back bumper from an accident previously. After the first snow fall I noticed some paint had flaked away and was still peeling back further. Upon showing it to the shop they say they won't fix it because it looks like there was an impact. Even if there was a cart or something from a parking lot that hit it, why would it be flaking off? is that a sign of a bad paint job?

I drive a 1992 Lincoln Continental, and I just broke the driver's side door handle from the outside. It can open from the inside, but just not the outside. The handle is still attached, I think i just pulled it up too far when trying to open it. How do I fix this? Also, if i have to take it in to fix it, how much will it cost?

My bumper was damaged from a hit and run. I am looking to pay out of pocket for the repairs but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I live in the (east) Bay Area, willing to travel within 50miles. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

I just bought my car from a dealership in beg. of july. Its a 94 Camry. It had 101,200 miles when i bought it- its now Dec. and there is 106,046 miles. Recently I checked my radiator b/c it seemed i was loosing fluid on the ground, it was half full. Few days later i checked it again..it was empty and it had clumps of brown stuff around the radiator cap. i took it to the place where i bought it bc they said it was a new radiator. they told me the radiator was fine and that the pressure was fine too and that it wasn't leaking. I asked how did it loose fluid so fast and they told me that my engine was consuming too much, and it said it may be the head gasket but he wasn't sure. I felt like he wasn't telling me everything, and not telling me something that he knew was wrong. The overflow tank also had the brown stuff in it and he said that was oil, and thats why he thought the gasket was "maybe" blown. my car has never overheated .. yet.. anyone have this problem or can help? thnx!

Just gone from a petrol car to a diesel. The light was on so I went to fill up and put about £15 of unleaded in before realising my mistake. I then filled the rest up with Diesel (about £30?) its a 1.4 and I managed to get it home ok, but is my car now buggered?? Please help!

my car makes a grinding sound whenever i make a left turn. there's no clicking, no squealing, just the grinding and i can feel it in my seat. it only does this on left turns, right turns are perfectly fine. my transmission is completey rebuilt, my tires are in great condition, and my brakes are relatively new as well. i noticed it started a few days ago, around the same time i randomly lost my right front hubcap. any ideas on what this could be?

I have a 1992 s10 with a 350 swap....the power steering pump went out and we can't find one to replace it. The problem comes from the shaft not fitting the V belt pulley Im using or, it doesnt have the line out to connect the hose to my res. A older vette pump looks like it might work but I dont know if the shaft is small enough to fit my pulley.

I replaced the battery and alternator about a year ago, so I don't think(unless i just got bad parts) that its either of those. Also, If i jump start it, it starts up, and drives ok around town, but the minute i shut it off the battery has no juice, no lights, won't turn over at all...

I am trying to start my car, and when I turn the ignition on, there is a click noise or something like "tac, tac, tac" and my car won't start. Could it be the battery?

i was driving my bmw x5 in some traffic. when i looked up, i noticed that the temp gauge was on hot. i was at my destination. called a friend who knows a lot more about cars and he said my antifreeze was a little low, and he put some antifreeze in the car.. drove it home, no problems on that drive (30 minutes). should i still take it in to make sure everything is okay? this has never happened to me so i don't know how "normal" it is.

I have a 2002 Volkswagen Lupo that I have recently bought. The paintwork is faded in places and I thought it would be easy to find products to restore this with - how wrong I was!

I need to find a yellow paint restorer and (ideally) a yellow paint chip repair kit. Can anyone recommend one or know of an alternative product?

During the fall my car heater felt like it heated up pretty good. Now that it's winter, it only starts to heat up on the highway. When my car idles it immediately gets cold in there.

They are Goodyear Assurance tires, not the original tires on the car. The only thing (regarding pressure) on the tire is 45 max PSI. Should I keep it there since it generally rides well?

Also, is it better to keep tire pressure a little lower for better traction in the winter?
