I replaced the battery and alternator about a year ago, so I don't think(unless i just got bad parts) that its either of those. Also, If i jump start it, it starts up, and drives ok around town, but the minute i shut it off the battery has no juice, no lights, won't turn over at all...

The battery is gone.

The vehicle once started is running on the power generated from the alternator. You can prove this by removing the battery terminals while the car is running. This will show that the alternator is running the car.

Then take the battery and throw it on a tester. Once the battery is put under a "load" it will give you a reading as to what is going on.

Though nothing with cars is gauranteed deal with this stuff all the time.

Advice: spend a little extra and get a good battery, my guess is that you went for the cheapest one. Dont do that, get the best you can and it will last 5 years.

Most likely answer is the alternator or battery are bad.
You're looking at about $50 for parts and $50 for labor unless you can do it yourself. Any good parts store can test your battery and alternator for free.

The battery has failed, take it back to where you bought it and get a new one. If it is truly 1 year old or less the warranty replacement should be free.

If it starts when you jump start it, then remove the battery terminals. Fully charge the battery & clean the terminal ends & the contacts on the battery. Reinstall the terminals.

sounds like your battery is bad even though it's only a year old, go someplace and have the battery checked as it might have a bad cell.
