My roommate has a 1998 Kia Sophia that originally had a bad belt took it in to get it changed. They changed her belt a long with one of the barrings and ball joints in the front of the car. After she got her car back the squeaking noise came back when she would turn the AC on, then it starting doing it when the AC was off, but just for a minute or so.
She took it to another guy who then replaced her water pump, she also ended up getting ANOTHER belt as the new one was already getting worn.
Now, about a week later the car still squeaks with and without the AC on but now there's a new problem. It started out when she would put her car in reverse and turn the wheel the car would make this really loud squealing noise and then the wheel would lock. She would have to jerk it really hard to get it to unlock. That went on for a few days...and now the car squeals a lot while just driving and if she turns a lot to the left or right the wheel will lock.
Her power steering fluid is full.
