It seems that I have the option to fit different size alloys to my car. I cango for 15-16-or 17 in the wheels on the cata re 15 in but these have replaced the original alloys at some point. The tyres i have are all fairly new and i dont really want to trade on swop them at this stage, however it seems that the wheel styles in that size are limited and in any event I would prefer to go bigger than the 15x5.5j that are on there any advice please.

The other night my friend and I both ran over an enormous tire tread that someone had left on a narrow bridge on which the speed limit is 55 mph. While nothing happened to my car, his car, having slightly lower suspension and bumpers, had its front bumper, lowlights, and dual exhaust attachment ripped off, causing a considerable amount of damage to the undercarriage in passing. One of our coworkers mentioned that there's some government office that's supposed to keep roads safe to drive on and that by calling them my friend could get them to cover the cost of his repairs, considering that his insurance company most likely won't. Does anyone know who he should call about this?

I have an RX7 and it basically sits in the garage most of the time I drive it maybe once a week sometimes once every two weeks and only put about 30 miles on it in that time, I was wondering if I hardly drive it do I still need to change the oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles or is it okay to just change it every so often and if not what should I do or what oil should I buy so I don't have to change it out, but every so often?

the past few weeks some sort of fluid or liquid has been on the floor board of my car in front of the passenger seat. Also, i notice a lot of fluid under my car on the ground as well. Today i got in my car and there was a big puddle of the strange brown fluid on the floor in front of the passenger seat. I just got my car fixed and the mechanic didn't see anything, but now it's even more of a problem. I have no idea what it is, where it's coming from, or what could possibly leak from the engine to wet the floor of my car. What is it and is it dangerous?

I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo (4.0 liter) and I just had the head gasket changed yesterday. Today I changed out the spark plugs and air filter. I know that the catalytic converter is supposed to be working hard right now because of all the carbon that is going through it now. But whenever I come to a red light, the idle goes REALLY low and the car starts shaking. Also, when I go above 45mph, there's a weird knocking noise, but it doesn't come from the engine. It sounds like it's coming from the exhaust. I've already put in fuel injector/ carburator cleaner in it yesterday (it was acting weird yesterday too). Is this supposed to happen? And if so, when will it go back to normal!?

My 94 probe smoked in the morning so i replaced the head and got new bolts with the new head gasket set and she still smokes untill it burns off. Could it be a bad coolent sensor , bad injectors. egr, 02 sensor but i thought that the 02 sensor only kicks in after a couple min,s. pulling my hair out now!!!....lol. At this point got to much money in it to give it up. Even when she smoke she runs great no stumble when i give it gas . some help is really needed thank ....paul

So are their different types of motor oils ("Q Horsepower" and "Q Torque Power") really work as they say, or are they just hype? I aks because there are so many different synthetic oils out now and Quaker state seems to have more varieties than anyone else.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated, especially since my wife loves to punch the pedal on our suv with over 100k miles when on the highway or just driving around.

My car has got worse over the months since ive been driving it problem is it keeps jerking when i press on the gas, I took it 2 a mechanic that my coworker recommend me 2 a diagnostic test not a professional 1 he used a machine that they use at autozone problem came out to be a misfire in cylinder 6 I thought itwas a bad spark plug/wire at first so I told him 2change the spark plugs and wires the problem didnt go away he told me it was the injector i went ahead changed that 2 but it wasent the injector now hes telling me it could be the piston or the valve or i think thats the head of the piston? not sure or the shell can be cracked were the pistons are located or the seal needs to be replaced or told me he did a compressor test to check every single injectors pressure & most of them were fine except for 1 told me he would have 2 take a look to see what it was and would cost me 700-800 $. Is that alot for that kind of job? Pls help with all the adive you can give me thanks!

I took it for a motor oil change this last weekend. About two days ago it started feeling shaky when standing still, as if something inside was 'bubbling', also, when i turn the ignition off, it sputters a little. I just noticed the check engine light is on.
What could it be? Is it really serious? or can it wait until the weekend to get it checked?
thanks!

I have a 1999 Chrysler Town & Contry minivan. I have replaced the front brake pads, rotors, and calibers. Everything is back together, but now my left front brake will not work, it don't even compress the caliber to stop the wheel. I have bled the lines, I have fluid coming out of the brake line going to the caliber, but none coming out of the bleeder valve when I open it. The right side is working normaly. What is the problem, and how would I fix it? I thought it was a bad caliber, and retured one and exchanged it once and still same thing. Please help.

My car is almost twelve years old, and I think my tranny's going. It's driving rough, and the engine light comes on if I drive more than 30 minutes straight. Also, most recently..it hesitated at least two times before going in reverse. Is this a transmission problem?
