I bought the car which had been painted recently but was not buffed and looks pretty bad.

yes and no. You need a good quality LOW speed buffer. Not the ones that are angle grinders with small pads on them. They go too fast and cause heat. Then you need quality solutions, like "mothers" brand ( that's what I use) and a lot of patience.it needs to be done in the shade or in a garage, with temps above between 60 and 75 degrees farenheit.
I find it relaxing. some people hate doing it.

pass to the community crafts shop and wander up and down the aisles until eventually you observe some thing that seems exciting. As a grandmother i come across not something in any respect it is "infantile" which includes the old loop potholder looms we had for humanities and crafts while i replaced into in basic college. There are newbie kits for under $10. finished with all supplies mandatory and large training. in case you think of 18 is purely too old to connect stuff to paper you will desire to work out lots of the stuff the girls in my community do with macaroni!!!!
