Is it true that a new car, especially white, should be waxed right when purchased to prevent ugly, permanent specks. If so, how would i go about waxing the new car

I had the O2 sensor replaced in my car today and the mechanic ran across a bare wire in one of the wiring harnesses. He said blew a fuse link on the starter. He fixed it, the car started and made it home, etc. My boyfriend went to replace the spark plugs and wires when he got home and only replaced 3 of the 6 since he couldn't get to the 3 on the far side of the engine. We took the car for a ride, it died before we got back home. We got a jump and within a mile, it died. We let it charge and barely made it home. What could be the causes of my car not starting? I recall with another vehicle of mine, when it needed a tune up, it did almost the similar thing. Our mechanic said he would look at it tomorrow to make sure he didn't pop any other fuses, but I am worried he screwed up the alternator or starter. The battery is only about a year or so old and was fine until today.

It was a salvaged car but the frame was good. I was going to use it for parts to fix my son's car that he wrecked, but it ended up being easier to make the salvage car new again. Now I am hearing I can't get a title. The car is awesome.

Alright, I posted this in the wrong place last time. Background: I have had starting problems with my Venture now for the past month-month and a half. Sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't. When I turn the key to the "on" position, I get full power to the dash, radio and fans. When I turn to the "start" position, I get nothing. I pulled the starter out myself brought it the auto-part store for testing - it tested with no problems. This problem happened every 3 or 4 days to start, had an oil change and went about two weeks with no problems (coincedence?) then it started happening again. Now two days ago, it stopped and I have been trying every day with no success - no start at all power to everything. I pulled the starter off, but before I did that, I was under the vehicle and had my wife try start, there wasn't even a click at the starter. I took the starter out again and had it tested again - still no problem with the starter. Can anyone offer any advice?

About 3 months ago I noticed a small crack on my windsheild, on the passenger side, it starts near the bottom, about 2 inches up, and its only on the insde of the window you can feel the crack, but the outside of the window is small.

Every few weeks, the crack seems to "jump" up, I notice it when I get off work, its not about half way up my window, its not a perfect line it jumps from side to side sort of.

Is it safe to drive with that crack? How long can I go befor eI need to replace it?

I have a vibration that gets worse the faster I drive. It is most noticeable when driving over 60 mph and I let off the gas. I have checked the u-joints and they seem to be fine, but where the drive shaft goes into the rear differential there is some slack. Any ideas on what could be wrong and how hard it is to fix it?

Apparently the oxygen sensor in my car may need replacing. Could this have been caused by dodgy petrol back in March?

The original GM Part # is 7837646. GM stopped making it some years ago. The only aftermarket company (that I know of) who made this part was TRW chasis...Moog bought them out a few years ago and they are no longer available. I haven't been able to find any online or in salvage yards...anyone have any ideas where I can track one down? Maybe a Cadi specialist? Any help is much appreciated.

I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla and I have never had any problems with the car. It has never stopped on me. I got an oil change on a friday before I went out of town. I took the car home got ready for my trip. ABout 20 minutes after I began my trip out of town, My oil light came on , battery light and then my check engine light. This caused my car to stop and the engine to lock up. When we checked the oil there was no oil in the car and the plug at the bottom was missing. I am being told by Walmart that they put oil in it, but we dont know where the oil went because we never saw any evidence of it leaking. What do you think my options are right now....
