How and where do you fill or check the transmission fluid in a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo?

There is no "dip stick" to check the trans fluid on izusu rodeos, this is a dealer or Professioal mechanic checked item, I had the same question about my 2001 and that was the answer the dealer gave me. If you don't have a dealer close or even want to take it to a dealer try a mechanic because if you take it to a tranny shop they are just going to tell you that it needs to be serviced no matter what.
