1997 Silverado pick-up power steering pump went out. Is the part expensive to buy and is repair by a mechanic expensive to fix. Does anyone have an idea how much cost is ??? Do mechanics allow you to buy the part yourself ??

I lost my alarm clicker and the alarm is engaged on my 2002 Subaru WRX, how can I turn it off? I tried disengaging the battery but once I turn it on again it still goes off. Please help me.

I have a 96 Nissan Maxima with 130,000 miles on it. My Transmission just went out on it I think I can get it fixed for about $700. The former owner had just put $800 into it to fix the clutch and front axel. It also needs 4 new tires and a new battery. I don't have two have two cars but it does make life simpler. Should I put the mont into the car or just get rid of it?

Does anyone have a pic of the cam timing arrangement for this engine, also fitted to hyundai's? Bottom pulley bolt fell out on my delica shortly followed by the pulley wheel, I know the valves are probably bent, just need the info for rebuild time.

usually the rattle occurs in first and second gear especially when i accelerate to a certain rpm. This rattle doesnt occur when i am in 3rd 4th or 5th gear. Any feedback would be nice.....thanx

I own a 2001 Ford Mustang, 3.8L V6. I need to change the spark plug wires and am in the market. I've noticed that the prices can range from $30 to $150, and would like to know if spending more money is actually worth it for the part. I know that going for cheap is probably not a good idea, but should I buy the $80 ones or the $140 ones? At what point would I not notice a difference? Feel free to recommend specific brands. Thanks!

ok i know its not the alterntor becuse i have no problem with losing eletric power. but here is what i got going on. as i drive i lose power(my car slows down) then it picks up again(gos Faster) it only happens when i been driving for a 5-10 mins. also when i turn the steering wheel all the way to one side it makes a hissing sound. (not sure if it always did that or if thats new) any ideas? its a 92vw golf 5 speed euro spec

I have always found huge problems sharpenng plane and chisel blades, even with a honing guide. Consequently are there any electric tool sharpeners available - which will sharpen the angles needed 25 and 30 degrees? {UK please}

we can turn the wheel to the right but we let go of the wheel they turn immediately back to the left by themselves.
