The hissing sound could be something rubbing when you are turning in that particular direction. I would have the brakes and front end inspected. For the dieing problem, it almost sounds like either the fuel pump is temporarily sutting off or a restricted fuel filter. I would try replacing that first since it is the least expensive. It may also be the ignition loosing it's signal but when that happens it usually backfires. Soes your check engine light ever come on? If so I would get a code scan done to give you some direction on what and where to go. Good luck,Tony

The steering is normal to make noise when you turn it all the way to either side. As for the power that could be anything, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, clogged catalytic convertor, clogged air filter.... but it sounds like fuel problem to me.

could be that you have a blown headgasket, or other serious problem.

the hissing sound is pretty common for the steering thing. i think thats normal.
