What are the heads supposed to be torqued at on a 2.0 ltr engine

I have a 2001 Ford Mondeo automatic 2.0 litre zetec. Everything has been fine until recently when the engine started going cold when I drive on the motorway or anything over 50 mph. It doesn't suddenly drop, it gradually goes down from warm to cold. I have switched it to circulate the air in the car, and the car gets warm at normal speed and the gauge is on "normal" but as soon as the speed picks up, the temperature goes down - it is driving me mad. The garage want £306 to fix it, but they can't tell me what is wrong before it has been on the diagnostics (and extra £56)!!

Any ideas about what it could be and how to fix it would be appreciated. I am eternally optimistic that it will be something simple that I can fix myself!!!

Thanks for reading this!

I was told that my car had two slightly bent wheels, probably caused from driving on unpaved roads and over speed bumps. Now my car makes a horrible rattling-like sound on the front passenger side of the car, but it only makes this awful sound when I press down on the gas pedal. However, when I maintain a certain speed, such as keeping it at 45mph, the rattling stops, until I need to use the gas pedal again. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Is it related to the bent wheel?

I had left it in the trunk of my car so i can take it to wal-mart and return it. After a few days, i noticed a foul smell coming from the back, when i cecked it out, the batter had turned on its side, and it had leaked some kind of fluid. I disposed of the battery, and tried cleaning the trunk with some laundry detergent, but that did not help. How do I clean the area where the fluid spilled? and what materials should I use?

I have a '95 Cadillac Seville (it has four-wheel disc brakes). It makes a high-pitched warning sound when the car is moving and then the sound stops when I step on the brakes. Sometime it is the other way around and I hear the sound when I step on the brakes.

What do I need? New brake pads? New brake linings? I would like to have an idea of what it needs because I have heard that there are some mechanics that like to charge for things your car doesn't need.

new hoses, new thermostat, radiator flushed. heat wont stay on. temperture gauge in car gets hot heat, and car gets cool, as temperture gauge goes down heat comes back on. also the overflow fills up, when drained and put back in radiator runs fine for a while, then radiator has to be filled again.

I asked a co-worker, he said I probably just had low oil-so I checked and put a quart in. But the light is still on! I think it may be a leak, but I'm not sure what else it could be! How would I know and if it is a leak, about how much would it cost me? Please help! :)
