while driving i flored it all the way to 160.. racing some cobra... the next thing i knew was there is oil coming out the hood and BOOOOM!!!!! smoke evrywhere.... i got it towed... can u tell me what might have done this thanks...

dealers have some machines that suck all the liquid out.... Does that make a diffrence...like me if i would have done it i would have used a water hose to flush radiator out is that good or bad... same 4 the tranny...Basically is machine better then draining it out on ypur own....without a machine..thanksss... and merry XMASSS!!!!!!!

My jeep shimmys when i go over 65. I have a 1998 Jeeep grand cherokee with the 4.0 inline six. I have a new rear end and transmission and changed the back break pads and rotors. I also changed the front pads and new shocks about 7 months ago. and when i hit a bump i hear a nocking noise coming from the passanger front. What counld be the problem?

Okay so I went to leave work today and my car wouldn't go anywhere. No matter what gear I am in (Reverse, Overdrive, Drive, First), it just revs like it is in neutral but the tires don't spin or anything. A guy here at work seems to think that it is a quart low on transmission fluid while my step-dad (who I bought the car from) seems to think that there are some kind of vents or something that could be blocked since I may have parked in 6-12" deep snow.

I know squat about this car as I only have it because my Honda was stolen and all I really want to do is get it on the road so I'm not stuck here. Any suggestions?

My Mazda MPV 3.0 with about 80 thousand miles won't shift higher than 2nd gear.
With the transmission in "Drive" its shifts up to 2nd. When I accelerate further the engine rpms go up the RED zone but the transmission seems to disengage. I understand that automatic transmissions can experience a "slipping" problem, but I don't have the experience or knowledge to properly diagnosis this problem.
I have done transmission flush and cleaned up the pan and filter, found 2 pointed (tiny) pieces of metal that seems to have broken off from the transmission.

Does anybody know where I can a possible solution to this problem?

In the car, after we got gas while the heat was running, our car started to smell like something was burning. When we got here, it had started to smell again. Once I got out of the car, I smelled inside/under the hood, and it was definately something in there that was smelling. What could it be, is it dangerous, and can we make the 20 minute ride home?

Please help -- quick.

95 Chevy Blazer has cut off on me twice. First time they said the ignition module they put in had went bad. Car drove good for a month and now it has shut off again. Same symptoms. Shuts off and you can't get it to start. Are they missing something else or are they just getting bad parts?

whilst running my car i sometimes get plumes of white smoke with a blue tint coming from exhaust .

it happens when i am travelling at speed on dual carriageways usually pulling away from roundabouts . between 50-70 mph .

i feel a slight power loss and look in my mirror and a huge wall of smoke is behind me , it is so bad other vehicles cant see a thing .

it has happened about 4 times in the last fortnight and problem clears right away . idles fine and no bother at all apart from this .

coolant level is o/k , not down a bit .

oil cap is fine .

dipped oil though and it looks like slightly to much oil on dipstick and a little watery .

ecotec engine . 2.0l 16v cd . automatic .
