how much work are you looking to?you can put anything from a 1.9L to a 502 v8

While it's possible the Azera engine may fit, there aren't any well documented ways to get a motor bigger than the Tiburon's V6 in there. A turbo or supercharger may be an easier option.

However, I've heard that back when Hyundai competed on the WRC circuit, their Tiburon ralley cars used Mitusbishi 4G63 power. That might be an angle worth pursuing.

If you want a lot of power, don't mind an automatic, and don't care how much work you have to do with a Sawzall and welding torch, though, you could get ahold of a Cadillac Northstar or the recent FWD version of the GM LSx V8 in there. I've seen a Northstar shoehorned into a '70s era VW Rabbit before, although it took some pretty crazy work.
