I worked for a rental company for 12 years-this is how we opened every freaking last car regardless of alarm or security measures: it takes 10 seconds.
Get a BIG screwdriver or similar device. Put a rag round the tip of the metal part and gently pry the top right corner of the driver's door out. Not too far! Slip a thin but strong metal pole in and hit the power door lock button on the door arm.
No power locks? Drive a nail into the end of the pole and use that to pull the door handle or slide the lock open. A ski pole without the basket on the end works great.
It is scary how easily this works. Good luck!

You did not indicate what kind of car. A locksmith would be cheaper than a window. If it has power locks use something stiffer , like a piece of brake line. Use wooden or plastic wedges to force top of door or door glass open enough to move your wire around to operate the power door lock..
Some cars you can insert a long thin screwdriver through the door handle opening and pop up the lock

It depends upon the car. The hanger technique tends to work well for older cars, but not so for newer cars. Also you need to have some idea on how to do it.

If you are handy fixing cars, I would break the smallest or easiest to replace window of the car, ond once you have your keys back, then replace the broken window with one sourced from the wreckers. Its a bit of work, but it is a cheap way out. Otherwise your only other alternative is to call a locksmith. Good luck.

depends on what type of car, are the windows rolled down? Some older model cars you can often pull the door jam open on the high side of the door where it opens. If you can even just a bit you can get a tool/hanger in and pop the locks. Good luck I know I've lucked out a couple of times.

its only 50 bucks for a lock smith. and if you wanna know how they do it. they take a small wooden flat peace and stick it in the side of the window ( looking at the window ontop right or left. which ever is closer to the unlock button inside the car) and it opens the window a little and stick a very long coat hanger or something to hit the button or push up the lock button

Do you have AAA (triple-A roadside service)? If not, call them: 1-800-222-4357. Its only about $30 for a whole year. Set up an account and tell them to send a tow truck. The tow truck will be $ free. Just tip the driver a couple bucks after he unlocks your door.

If you don't want AAA, call a tow truck service in your area and pay the towing company yourself.

Or you can always break a window.

Oh yeah, and get a spare key and tape it to a hidden place under your car or the under hood.

it would help if we knew what kind of car it was, year, make, etc.

example: most GM's with power locks, one can remove the antenna from the car, flip it, slide it down between the window or door and hit the unlock button.

other cars its easier to enter a back window. but gotta know what car we are dealing with.

PS - to any idiots who tell you to break windows....its cheaper to call a lock smith. and to the guy who said to break the smallest window...what a nimwit....the smaller the window, the more expensive it is to replace.

No idea..I think you will have to cough out some money and call Quikfix or the equivalent in your area.
Hope the car is not running...otherwise you will loose even more money on the gas :-(.
Happened to me so I always have spare set of car keys in case...

Did not think about calling the police like others suggested..

Bust window or call locksmith. Either one is going to cost you some money. The 'smith will be the cheaper of the choices.

smash a window, like the back window passenger side .

Then tape it up with duct tape , to be fixed later.

this way you will save money, for the moment, and still be able to get sleep and get to work or where ever you need to.
