I was told that my car had two slightly bent wheels, probably caused from driving on unpaved roads and over speed bumps. Now my car makes a horrible rattling-like sound on the front passenger side of the car, but it only makes this awful sound when I press down on the gas pedal. However, when I maintain a certain speed, such as keeping it at 45mph, the rattling stops, until I need to use the gas pedal again. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Is it related to the bent wheel?

Check to see if you have anything loose above the wheen in your car. It could be a tool. It could also be a wheel bearing going bad. I would check it out before you have a serious accident.

It could be loose lug nuts, worn ball joints or debris in or around the wheel. For a front wheel drive car, it could be the CV joint of the axle. In fact, since you only hear this while accelerating, this is probably the problem. New axles will cost you something in the range of $500.

i think of the ask your self absorber/strut malfunction analysis is incorrect at only one hundred eighty,000 miles. present day autos like a 1995 Accord could desire to pass lots lots extra beneficial than this before wanting strut alternative. The exception is that in case you have been in some style of collision twist of fate and this replaced into neglected interior the physique fix. coverage firms prefer to forget approximately with regard to the mechanical factors of motor vehicle injury in the event that they are able to smash out with it. i think of you are able to desire to have your brakes appeared at and have a mechanic look into something of the backside for improperly torqued bolts or bolts that have been tightened without their ideal washers incredibly if there has been some twist of fate. it's going to be well worth it because of the fact this could be a reliable vehicle that has 3 hundred,000 miles to pass if the oil adjustments are going on usually. i'm balloting on the brakes or some stones using airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust.

Have your mechanic drive the car with you. There are many front end and engine components that could account for the noise.
