new hoses, new thermostat, radiator flushed. heat wont stay on. temperture gauge in car gets hot heat, and car gets cool, as temperture gauge goes down heat comes back on. also the overflow fills up, when drained and put back in radiator runs fine for a while, then radiator has to be filled again.

You need a thermostat set to a higher temperature.

The water pump is failing or the circulation is getting blocked for some reason. When it quits the engine gets too hot and the water doesn't circulate through the heater core. The coolant boils, forcing it into the overflow tank.
