I'm replacing the ABS module and am unsure as to whether there was a sealant between the ABS module and control module.

If I had an old car that had either (A) no engine and transmission, or (B) an older engine and transmission, and I wanted to replace it with a new engine from the manufacturer, (ex: if I had an old Chevy, and I wanted to put a new Chevrolet engine and transmission in it,) and if I took it to a dealership that sells Chevrolet's, would it be possible to get them to install a new engine and transmission, as well as all the other necessary things for it to function properly? And, approximately what would that cost me?

My car is a red 1996 Firebird (V6). Some areas on the body look okay, but the hood looks faded badly and dull. Is there some product I can use to make it look shiny and bright again?

What about that "Nu Finish" car wax- does it work well?

My Jeep Cherokee won't start and whenever I try to open it through the romote control, try to turn the lights on, try to turn the ignition on etc. it simply won't work.
I was thinking of jump starting it, but was afraid it might damage any internal processors or other electronics. Is it safe to proceed with jump starting?
I have a 2001 make Jeep Cherokee.
Thank you very much.

A friend just got her first oil change on her new Honda. The Owners's Manual recommends 5W20, but it looks like the repair shop used 5W30. Is this a big deal? What are the potential ramifications?

so far, i have checked under the dash fuses, under hood fuses, replaced the already working flasher with a new one.

my headlights work, and high beams, which are in the combination switch!

my emergency lights work too!

i used a probe to find out that there are two fuses that are still good (no broken filament) location= (under the dash), but not recieving any power (they probe green, but not red). They do this in the off, ign, and on position.

Strange, is it possible for a combination switch to work forwards and backwards for the headlights and high beams, but not the turn signals?

I have done everything i can think of, any help?

Hi All -

I am pretty sure I have a messed up wheel bearing in one of my front tires. We have replaced a wheel bearing in a back tire before, but the front tire's mechanics are different and a bit more daunting. I have a 2000 Honda Civic and from reading the repair manual, I can only assume that I must remove the hub, then have a professional hydraulic press the bearings for me.

My main problem right now is that I can't tell what side the bearing is bad on! There is a distinct rotation noise when I turn left, but I don't know if that means the left bearing is rubbing harder due to pressure, or if the right one's lack of pressure during the turn is causing the noise to increase in volume.

Any help in a diagnosis?
Help a poor, confused girl out!

Thanks,
Amy

My dad drained the clutch fluid on my sisters 5-speed 1994 toyota corolla DX today. He had trouble draining it, but eventually got it all out. Only problem is he's feeding it back through the line he drained it from, filled the master cylinder, but cant figure out how to pressurize it.

The clutch pedal travels to the floor with no resistance, anybody know how to put the pressure back in correctly?

Help! The lock on the Hatch Door will not unlock. It's just happened. I've tried WD40 but it makes no difference. I've lowered the rear seat hoping I could free the lock with a screwdriver but the moulded inside cover prevents you getting at anything.
Is there anyone who can tell me what to do, please.

I was recently in a car accident and my car should have been totalled. The damages almost equal the payoff value of my lease, but the actual "value" of my car is more according to the insurance company. It would be to my benefit to use their payment to payoff the lease and get a new car, but I don't know what to do with my damaged car. Can I sell it for parts? I don't want to sell the parts myself, I know nothing about it or how much they should be. I'm in the North NJ/South NY area. Does anyone know of a place that may buy my car? Thanks!

The car is a 1993 Buick Regal, 3.1 motor multi port V/6. It will start and run fine while it is sitting, it will run fine while you are driving. After about one and a half to two miles of driving it will hesitate or cut out and it will shut off. Try to start it an it will not firer just turns over, but every thing else will work. Wait 3 or 4 minutes and it will start.
New parts = plugs & wires = alternator = idle air control = crankshaft sensor = module that is behind the three coils. Was hooked on to the big test machine and showed no codes or problems with any systems, and is showing no codes now.
If you guys could fined anything out I would really appreciate it.
