Just a few days ago, engine started chugging while driving, got a bad egg smell also...still chugginf while driving, not so noticible on highway, but annoying..Noticed this about ten minutes after I got some gas at a station close to where I live, not your regular name brand...

Bad Gas or your Cataletic convertor is going away. They will smell bad and also cause the engine to lose power as they fill up with crap.

Does the exhaust have a rattling/knocking sound while it is idling, if so it may have a bad catalytic converter. This pretty much restricts the exhaust pipe and causes severe power loss. Your oxygen sensors have probably never been changed and it's possible if you did get bad gas, this may have caused your "BAD EGG" smell. Best go to your nearest Meineke or Midas exhaust shop as they will inspect it for free. GOOD LUCK.

I've got to go with catalytic converter. They will plug up especially on lower octane fuels.
