I drive a 1998 hyundai elantra 1.6GLS. I recently noticed an oil leak from the left front wheel. I use chrome mags so the trapped dust and dirt were clearly visible on the rims typical of oil fluids. When removing the wheel i noticed the oil had splashed all over the disc. I assumed it could be a break fliud leak but had my doubts coz i couldnt trace any ruptured brake fluid pipe and the brake fliud had not gone down much in the top up container. now the thing that gets me wondering is that the leak has stopped and the brake fliud is still present in the container. The car does brake normally so am wondering if the oil was from the shock absorber coz its been making some funny thumping sounds when i go over even the slightest of bumps. I knew my shocks were needing a replacement but is that so bad that a shock would leak coz i heard that worn shocks can sometimes leak if they are totally f****d up. Are my suspicions right?

The lock of my booth is spoilt, in fact, I bought the car this way. The booth is being held together by tying with a strong rope. On the face of it, the lock looks ok, in fact i do not understand why it is not locking. Do you think it is something i could fix for myself? Could someone please point me to some things i can look out for?

Today i took battery tester and it read 5v (poor battery) ? I'm guessing i was driving around on the battery reserve time ? i think the alternator went bad?

A friend from work is selling some close to new tires. Tires are 2, P205/75/14 and 2 snow tires size P215/60/14. Does anyone know if they will fit without problems such as tires hitting parts of my car. The tires were on an older model Ford Ranger that died and the tires have very little milage or on the road time.

Well... this is weird. I just bought a 99 Jetta GL manual. It is very cold where I live right now and that may be a factor but here is the issue.
It seems when I first try and start my car it will not even turn over, as if there were no battery, I then keep trying and mess with things(clutch, parking brake, e-brake,etc.) and out of no where it starts up as if nothing ever happened. Now, it may be ignorance on me and I'm not doing something correctly to allow my car to start-up right away . But I am wondering, is it possible that even though the pedal of the clutch moves fine, could the clutch be getting stuck due to the cold and not letting the car start until I move it around and free it? Any other possibilities on what could be the issue? Thanks

Yeah everytime I go above 35 mph it starts shaking in a backwards/forwards vibration, not side to side. What does this mean? Is something loose that I'm just not seeing, or do all motorized bikes ride like that?

I had a new mailbox I was hauling in my car about a year ago (bad idea) and the paint was apparently still wet and got on my seat. Is there anything that will take it off without fading the seat color?

Thanks!
