When was your last tune up? As the spark plug electrodes are consumed, it widens the gap and reduces fuel burning efficiency.

That's probably all it is.

1) Retrieve the DTCs from the computer. If yo don't have a code reader, ask the nice folks at the local discount parts store if they will retrieve them for you. If there are codes, follow the diagnostic trouble-tree for the proper diagnostics. Don't ASSuME that the main component in the system is the fault. It may merely lead you to another fault.
2) Check the Coolant Temp sensor, along with the Air Charge Temp sensor. If they are indicating to the PCM that the temp is warm, then it won't give the extra fuel necessary for the cold temps (remember chokes?).
3) If you are trying to start it with your foot on the floor, DON'T!
When the computer "sees" that the throttle is WIDE OPEN THROTTLE (WOT), it interprets this as a "Clear Flood" command, and will turn the injectors OFF. It will not turn them back on until it "sees" throttle position at < 75% open.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

You may need to change the fuel filter under the car or in the gas tank. It also may be a indication of a Weak or Failing fuel pump.Fuel pump i bet.

i own a repair shop, and id check the inside of the breather to make sure it doesn't have any crap built up in it hat might get i to stop up the air filter,,then id probably change the air filter on it,it may be going bad on it,,hard starting is a good indication of a dirty gas or air filter, and also make sure its tuned real good,,this time of year when its cold everything has to be right on one for it to run right,,especially when its cold out,,a poorly tuned engine wont start very good at all, good luck i hope this help,s,,,have a good x-mas.

you should try to change the fuel filter they are only like 15 bucks and it would be worth it to try before a full spark plug change.
