have a 99 gmc jimmy that has a small tranny leak would it do harm to add a bottle of stop leak aka tranny jelly to see if it will stop?

or will that do even more damage and I should take it somewhere to get a gasket replaced?

Thanks!

Ok my car has been making a screeching kinda noise for a year now and it sounds like it may be coming from the CV shaft, it makes this noise when the car is moving in a forward gear but doesn't make the noise if you reverse. (The shaft and all its moving connections rotate the opposite way in reverse)

The sedan is powered by the rear wheels and if you jack the back up so the wheels don't touch the ground and then use the accerater it won't make the noise so there for it may not be the CV shaft. I'm confused, could it only be doing this while it is on the ground because of some weight pushed down on it as well as the moving forward? The mechanics have checked the brakes, wheels, put new rotors, new suspansion and shock absorbers and still noise!

Any ideas would be a great help

P.S I own a "1997 VS Holden sedan commodore"

This is on new ford fusion pertol vehicle. I get this noise like tak, tak, tak . It comes even when engine is not started. This sound is not
observed always. When I start the car in morning then I definitely
hear this, I hear this some times after a long stop in between the day too. Any advice what this noise could be.

It has a chinese engine, and I have dual fuel system, CNG (Compressed Natuarl Gas), and petrol. Normalyy it switched automatically from Petrol to CNG after having more than 1500 rpm. In cities I feel more problem, as when I have to stop at a crossing, its engine switches off, and so the booster brakes fails. A hazard.

I am trying to check and make sure it's either the fuel pump or the regulator, my best guess is the fuel pump relay switch and not the fuel pump. At least thats my hopes.

i took my car to get aligned and thet told me that they could not align it because one wheel was bent back from an accident. i had taken it to a shop and they told me that the crossmember, lower control arm, knuckle, and strut needed replacing. at the alignment place they told be to take it to a body shop and have it pulled forward. would this be the same to replacing parts that the shop said to replace
