Go screw the gas cap on tight and drive it at least 10 miles. If the light goes out in a 20 mile round trip, its just air(lack of vaccuum) on the Early Fuel Evaporation system.

Take it to an autozone. They will scan the codes for free and tell you why the light is on. Any time the cheeck engine light comes on in a 96 or newer car it is some sort of emmissions failure and would not be a fuse. Good luck

The question is do they stay on when you're driving the car? Those lights are nomrally s'pose to come on temporarily when you start the car..

when you take it back to get the light fixed have them check it out, they will have to scan the computer to see what the problem is.
