Any ideas?

I have (2) slashed tires that are (7/16in) long. My problem is will a auto repair shop put patches on the inside of sidewall. I`m told they don`t patch tires anymore and I will have to buy (2) new tires. I have a $100. deductible insurance policy. I own a 1990 Toyota Camry and tires are (4)years old with about 20,000 miles on them, they have a 55,000mile warrenty. My Insurance will cover the cost, if there in good condition. If I replace the left side tires, will the right side tires need replacement. My concern is State Farm recommended this auto body shop, they may rip me off
on the price of tires, especially if they tell me I`ll have to pay for my own tires. If I tow the car to this shop I`m in a catch 22. Is there anyone who can give me any advice.

My 2002 PT Cruiser was brought in for a dead lightbulb. When the car went to start up the battery had died. The mechanic boosted it, and then my husband shut it off. When he turned if back on, the power locks didn't work and the gagues where going crazy. We have a new battery, but it hasn't been installed. The mechanic did a diagnostic and everything seems fine. Anyone got any ideas??

What is the number or name of the snap-on-tabs that hold the one piece insulated material that attaches to the underside of the hood? I had to take it off in order to get to the hoses for the Windsheild Wipers. There are about 10 of these tabs that snap onto the underside of the hood. I lost them and have to get them replaced.

I own a 94 Pontiac Grand Prix with 175,000 miles on it. I have always maintained it well. If I continue to maintain it well, how long could a car like that last before any major problems to the engine or transmission or other mega high-priced issues?

I own a '94 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. Sometimes when I start my car, it will sputter out if I don't apply some gas to it initially. Then, once I do restart it, the acceleration meter goes really high while in park and won't come back down until I put it in drive or reverse (holding the brake down, of course).

Say you are driving along and your gas tank begins to leak a bit. Suddenly a spark is created somehow that catches to the leak. Could your entire car explode along with you in it? Or is there not enough gas in the tank or enough safety features to prevent a total explosion?

I put a new battery and terminals in the car and the car started right up, but after i started driving it maybe 2 blocks away it cut-off. It started right back up but every time i slowed down or came to a red light or stop sign it would cut off again and start right up. My alternator was replaced about 2 months ago. Can anyone shed anylight on the situation?
